Bench Warrant Activity on Cape Cod
Cape Cod sees a jump in court cases during summer months. More people means more traffic stops, more incidents, and more court dates set. When people leave the Cape after summer and miss those court dates, bench warrants follow. This seasonal pattern makes Barnstable County different from other Massachusetts counties. A bench warrant issued in summer for a non-resident can sit in the system for months or years.
